Allegiance Retail Services opened its newest Foodtown Bay Ridge location on June 26, 2026, according to a company announcement. The 9,000-square-foot supermarket now occupies a site that once housed a Rite Aid, turning a fami- liar corner into a fresh community hub. A Neighborhood Built on Diversity Bay Ridge has long drawn residents from Arabic, Irish, Italian, Greek, Asian, Hispanic and other back- grounds, Allegiance Retail Services said in its release. That mix of cultu- res shapes the store’s identity from the moment shoppers walk in. Shelves stock authentic internatio- nal foods and specialty items, inclu- ding Halal products, alongside the staples every household needs. Fresh produce, meats, seafood and bakery goods round out the offerings, giving residents a one-stop shop that mirrors the community outside its doors. Value Meets Quality on Every Aisle Beyond specialty items, the store leans on Allegiance’s Best Yet private label to keep grocery bills in check. The brand spans hundreds of grocery and household pro- ducts, according to the company, and aims to deliver quality without the pre- mium price tag. For families watching their budgets, that combination matters just as much as the international selection. Location plays a role in the store’s appeal, too. Foodtown of Fourth Ave- nue sits at 6900 4th Avenue, right on the corner of Fourth Avenue and Bay Ridge Avenue and directly across from a subway stop. Commuters and resi- dents alike can grab groceries without going far out of their way. New Foodtown Bay Ridge Store Brings Global Flavors to Brooklyn • FOOD INDUSTRY • Continues on page 58
