94 January | February 2026 abasto.com Cuervito Morado Fall Show Strengthens Business Ties BY HERNANDO RAMREZ-SANTOS T he Cuervito Mo- rado Fall Show brought together more than 100 suppliers and customers on Nov. 6 at Whitaker Park in Wins- ton-Salem, North Carolina, in a day marked by brisk business and a family-style atmosphere. From the start, a ste- ady flow of buyers moved through the event, sear- ching for products to meet growing Hispanic demand in the region. More than 100 exhi- bitors filled the show floor with a wide range of Hispanic food and be- verage offerings. Atten- dees explored nostalgic assortments, dairy, meat, produce, snacks and products aligned with emerging health-focused trends. Rick Calabro, the distri- butors sales director, em- phasized the companys close relationships with its partners. Its another year in which we have the pleasure of shaking hands, greeting and hugging our suppliers, our very valuable partners, who beyond business are, in many cases, friendships weve built over the last 20 years, 15 years, 10 years, Calabro said. We are eter- nally grateful to them and to our customers, enjoying a day of celebration here at Cuervito Morado.
