We won our lawsuit against the De- partment of Labor, which alleviated pressure on growers, and advised the De- partment to develop a less burdensome Adverse Effect Wage Rate and they did resulting in the most signi- ficant financial shift ever for growers in H-2A, she noted. To help its members access and act on the data contai- ned in the IFPA industry and consumer research, the or- ganization has launched an AI-powered Global Intelli- gence Engine to provide in- dustry-specific insights from extensive data, aiming to en- hance decision-making and financial outcomes. The Nutrition Mandate: Fruits and Vegetables are the Solution Turning to health, Burns highlighted the IFPAs core nutrition priority: getting produce prescriptions embedded into the stan- dard of clinical care. She reminded the audience that Fresh fruits and ve- getables dont have to do a thing. We are the solu- tion. Our products are real, whole, and wholesome. Burns passionately questioned the imbalan- ce: Shouldnt half of any daily calorie intake or diet be fresh fruits and vege- tables? She emphasized the necessity of a sustaina- ble, profitable industry to achieve a healthier world, referencing the IFPAs Fresh Produce for a Heal- thier America campaign and the ten policy recom- mendations provided to the MAHA Commission to make fruits and vegetables foundational in all public health interventions.
